Studies on the Effect of Time of Wedge Grafting and Growing Conditions on Growth and Leaf Characteristics of Guava (Psidium guajava L.) Grafts

Abstract:

An experiment was conducted onwedge grafting time, growing conditions on subsequent growth of grafted plants in guava (Psidium guajava L.) during 2014-2015.Wedge grafting was done during August (M1), September (M2), October (M3), November (M4), December (M5), January (M6) and February (M7)months under poly house and 50% shade net conditions. Wedge grafting in the month of August under poly house condition gave better response with respect to number of leaves per sprout, leaf area per sprout and leaf chlorophyll content.
