The main objective of this study was to isolate and characterize the native bacteria which could be used as biosurfactants for SAP treated soil. The present study has focused on Super Absorbent Polymer degrading bacterial isolation, Preparation and optimization of biosurfactant using selected isolates and screening techniques like biosurfactant confirmation tests are applied. Further its characterization using FT-IR, GC-MS and SEM imaging studies are included. The outcome of this study is the finding of best SAP degrading bacterial isolates namely Bacillus sp. and Pseudomonas sp. and their biosurfactant production.
