Softwood Grafting in Jamun (Syzygium cumini Skeel) under Open and Controlled Conditions

Abstract:

An experiment was carried out on softwood grafting in Jamun (Syzygium cumini Skeel) under open and controlled conditions during 2016. The result of experiment suggested that least number taken for sprouting recorded in T8 (M3C2: June + shade net) (14.00) and first leaf emergence in T7 (M3C1: June + low cost polyhouse) (21.00). The softwood grafting success and survival rate were recorded highest in T7 (M3C1: June + low cost polyhouse) with 96.22 % and 97.67 %, respectively. Softwood grafting was performed well under June + low cost polyhouse conditions
