Abstract:

Afield experiment was conducted during the Rabi (winter) season of 2012 and 2013, at Dayanand College Ajmer, to study the response of maize (Zea mays L.) variety ‘Ganga safed -2’ to integrated use of organic, inorganic and biofertilisers. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with sixteen treatments and three replications. Different levels of inorganic (60 kg/ha and 120 kg/ha N) and organic (poultry manure, vermi compost and FYM) were applied with or without VAM, Azotobactor and Azospirillium inoculation. The results revealed that the combination of Azotobactor + vermicompost + 60kg/ha N(urea) gave the best results and showed significant improvement in growth, yield attributing characters and seed yield (53.56) q/ha than other treatment combinations.
