Effect of Population Density and Nutrition on Nitrate Reductase Activity in Seed Guar Varieties

Abstract:

The effect of planting geometry and nutrition on growth and flowering of seed guar cultivars viz., HG 365 and HG 563 was analysed under Mahanandi conditions. The nitrate reductase activity, crude gum (%), crude protein (%), seed yield per plant (g) was highest in variety HG 365, planting geometry of 30 cm x 20 cm (S2) and Nutrition dose of 45N: 60P: 60K: 30S kg per ha (F3).
