Rapeseed-mustard is one of the most important oilseed crops of India. The non availability of seed of improved varieties and low productivity of local seed are major constraints of Rapeseed-mustard cultivation in temperate (Kashmir) region of Jammu and Kashmir. To overcome these constraints on farm trials (OFTs) were conducted by KVK Baramulla to assess the yield performance of different Rapeseed-Mustard varieties developed by DRMR Bharatpur during the growing rabi season 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 at several Villages of Baramulla district of Kashmir zone of J&K. The performance of different varieties (RH-749, RH-406, NRCHB-101, YSH-401, NRCDR-2) was evaluated and highest yield (1693 kg/ha) was recorded from NRCHB-101 variety during 2018-19. The higher net returns and B:C ratio was also attained on sowing of NRCHB 101 crop variety followed by RH 406 during three consecutive years.
