Efficient Protocol for Mini-tuber Production in Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) Cultivar Kufri Frysona

Abstract:

The present investigation was conducted in Centrе for Plant Biotеchnology lab and Vegetablе Sciencе Farm, CCSHAU, Hisar in the year 2013-14 to develop the efficient protocol for mini-tuber production in potato cultivar Kufri frysona. The total numbers of mini-tubers were 3 to 5 times higher from each in vitro plantlet that was sectioned into nodal cuttings. The protocol will be very useful for large-scale production of potato in future.
