Abstract:

The study was carried out to investigate the influence of organic manures on vegetative growth, yield and yield attributing traits of strawberry during 2019-20. Among the treatments tested, maximum biochemical traits of fruits viz., Total Soluble Solids (8.030oBrix), Ascorbic acid (58.749 mg100 g-1), Sugars: acid ratio (9.240), Total sugars (7.568 %), chlorophyll-a (1.910mg g-1), chlorophyll-b (0.769mg g-1), total chlorophyll content (2.679mg g-1), Shelf life (3.52 Days) and Fruit growth rate (0.192cm day-1). Mean while minimum Titratable acidity (0.819 %) was recorded in application of Vermicompost + Jeevamruth @ 500 ml per pot + Beejamruth seedling treatment. From this study, it can be concluded that application of Vermicompost + Jeevamruth @ 500 ml per pot + Beejamruth seedling treatment is found to be better (fruit yield per plant 350.79 g) followed by application of FYM + Jeevamruth @ 500 ml per pot + Beejamruth seedling treatment.
