Sugarcane is becoming an important cash crop for farmers because there is a great potential for sugar production and byproducts of sugarcane in domestic market. The present study was conducted in purposely selected Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. There are total ten tehsils in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, out of which, two tehsils namely Sri Karanpur and Sri Ganganagar were selected on the basis of maximum area under cultivation of sugarcane. From the list so prepared, 10 respondents were selected randomly from each identified village. Thus, in all 120 farmers were included in the sample of the study. The study clearly showed that majority of respondents i.e. 67.50 per cent fell in medium level knowledge group whereas 15.00 per cent sugarcane growers were observed in the low level knowledge group and remaining 17.50 per cent respondents possessed high level of knowledge about recommended production technology of sugarcane.
