Abstract:

Among the insecticides evaluated, diafenthiuron 50 % WP @ 1 g/l and triazophos 40 % EC @ 2 ml/l were found to be best and most effective against whitefly in sunflower. This was reflected in the total yield of diafenthiuron 50 % WP (1346 kg/ha) and triazophos 40 % EC (1301 kg/ ha) and these two treatments were on par with each other. Next superior treatments in order of priority were flonicamid 50 % WG > fipronil 5 % SC > buprofezin 25 % SC > clothianidin 50 % WG > profenophos 50 % EC > azadirachtin 0.03 %.
