Effect of Nano Phosphatic Fertilizer on Nutrient Content and Uptake by Pearl Millet (Pennisetum glaucum L.) Crop

Abstract:

A study was undertaken to evaluate the efficiency of phosphatic nano fertilizer under pot culture trail. The experiment was conducted during the summer 2017 to know the effect of different levels of nano and chemical phosphatic fertilizer on NPK nutrient (Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) content and uptake by pearl millet crop in VerticUstocrepts medium black calcareous soil. The experiment was containing control with seven different treatments. The pot culture study showed that the application of nano and chemical phosphatic fertilizer significantly increased the nutrient content and uptake by pearl millet crop. The maximum NPK content and uptake as well as protein content and uptake were observed with the application of 2.5 time reduction of RDP through nano phosphatic fertilizer.
